Search the Boston Library Consortium (including Brandeis) and beyond
WorldCat is a fast, unmediated way to order books and audiovisual materials from our partner libraries in the Boston Library Consortium (BLC).
WorldCat or ILL?
Which should I use?
WorldCat is an excellent way to obtain books and audiovisual materials from the libraries of the Boston Library Consortium and beyond.
If you need articles, book chapters, or microfilm it is better to use interlibrary loan (ILL). It is also easier to order a single volume from a multi-volume set via ILL.
Note that if no library in the Boston Library Consortium can fill a particular request via WorldCat (book, media, article etc.), then that request will automatically pass into the ILL system and ILL staff will try other non-BLC libraries.
