1. Installing Zotero             Print Page

Installing Zotero

Zotero will run on any operating system. Zotero requires Firefox 2.0 or higher. Click on the Get Zotero button. Installation should only take a few seconds. Once installed close Firefox completley and then re-start it. You should now see a icon at the bottom of your web browser.

When you first try to download Zotero, you may receive the following message: “Firefox prevented this site from asking you to install software on your computer.”

If you receive this message, you'll also see an “Edit options…” button. Click this button, then click “Allow” and “Close.”

Now try downloading Zotero again. If you continue to encounter problems, please contact e-resources@rt.brandeis.edu for further assistance. In your email include the version of Firefox that you are using as well as any specific error messages that you receive.
