General Info

Borrowing a Carrel or a Locker is as easy as loaning a book. Just stop by the Main Loans and Returns desk with your ID card, and someone will assist you.

In order to borrow a Carrel or a Locker, users must read and agree wih Terms of Use. Please be sure to follow those simple rules while loaning a library Carrel/Locker.

Carrels and Lockers are periodically inspected to ensure that the terms of use are not being violated. Two violations result in the loss of a Carrel/Locker.

The Library reserves the right to alter or amend Carrel/Locler assignments, and will try to provide adequate notice of any such changes. E.g.: if a Carrel/Locker is seldom used by the assignee, the Library may recall the key and assign the space to another person.

The process of borrowing library Carrels and Lockers is based on 'first come - first served' principle. When a carrel or locker is returned and becomes available, the first user coming to the desk is eligible to borrow.

A Map of Carrels' and Lockers' locations is available upon request at the Main Library Loans and Returns desk.
